TREK FAQs

What types of counseling will I receive at Trek?

Clients in the Trek residential program will have weekly individual counseling sessions with their assigned therapist, group counseling sessions led by our clinical staff, and marriage or family sessions when necessary. Clients also have opportunities for pastoral counseling sessions with the Director of Spiritual Formation, allowing them to explore their relationship with God in a safe place without fear of judgment or criticism.

Why does Trek last 12 weeks?

While many programs are only 28-35 days, current research supports a longer treatment approach for maximizing recovery success. Since multiple factors influence the development of addiction, a longer treatment approach allows clients to identify and address underlying issues fueling and sustaining the addiction. We believe that if the goal of treatment is life-long recovery, then 12 weeks is a worth-while investment.

What does Trek cost?

Our 12-week program is comparably priced with 28-day treatment programs, making it very affordable and accessible to individuals needing help. Because we are committed to our clients’ recoveries, every individual admitted to the Trek Program receives financial assistance. We accept out-of-network benefits for drug and alcohol treatment for most insurance providers. Additional financial support is provided through the generosity of donors and partners. In addition to the Trek program, affordable and cost-effective transitional housing and continuing care programs are available for qualified clients.

What is the completion rate?

Over 95 percent of clients that enter the 12-week Trek residential program see it through all the way to completion. Completing our intensive residential program greatly increases the long-term success and sobriety of our clients.

What is the maximum client capacity?

HopeQuest’s Trek residential program is licensed for 15 males. The small client to therapist ratio (3:1) allows for increased interaction between the clinical staff and clients, as well as individualized treatment planning. Clients are able to develop relationships with all of our staff members during their time in Trek. Due to demand, our programs are usually close to capacity year-round. However, our admissions staff strives to accommodate the needs of potential incoming clients.

Do I have to be a Christian to come to Trek?

While we are Christ-centered, clients are not required to be professing Christians to be admitted to the program. For some clients, their experiences with church and religious people have been hurtful, resulting in disillusionment and rejection of the Christian faith. Our goal is to provide clients with an opportunity to experience God’s grace during their time with us and to rethink their beliefs about God and His people.
