Jesus surrendered as He was being chased by OUR sin. The things you did that brought you to this place were some of the very things that caused Christ to surrender in the Garden. God’s deep, abiding love for you, for me, and for the rest of the world compelled Him to make a way for our restoration and redemption. Jesus didn’t fight the plan and finally give up. He surrendered to the plan. He surrendered to the will of the Father, for you and for me. WOW!
What He affords you now is the opportunity to do the same thing. Surrender. Give yourself over to His perfect love and will. Turn yourself in. I’m tempted to believe that because you’re reading this, you have. But I know better. I know myself. I know men in your boat. You might simply be giving up. You might have gotten caught or have just become too exhausted to run anymore. But your heart hasn’t surrendered. Think about it. Pray about it.
