HopeQuest Earns Highest Three-Year CARF Accreditation for Addiction Treatment Programs

ACWORTH, GA – July 14, 2020 – The unprecedented times facing our community and our country mean that many people are struggling. “People who have been running from addictions, depression, loneliness, and other personal battles for some time need help now more than ever,” says John Tanner, 2020 HopeQuest Vision Campaign Chairman. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), “SAMHSA expects the current national crisis of COVID-19 to contribute to an increase in the number of Americans grappling with those disorders. People throughout the nation will struggle with increases in depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief.” These conditions often lead to an escalation in addiction.

With more people in need, HopeQuest, located on 18 acres in Acworth, Georgia, 30 miles north of Atlanta, is committed to helping individuals and families impacted by addiction discover God’s plan for freedom and hope. In the fall of 2019, HopeQuest leaders initiated a renovation and increased the number of residential beds. “We felt God was leading us to do so, and now we see why, along with pursuing CARF accreditation,” adds Tanner.

CARF accreditation is a rigorous quality assurance process that recognizes organizations committed to the highest standards of patient care, safety, and services that foster recovery. HopeQuest recently received the highest three-year CARF accreditation for its Residential Treatment Center (RTC), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient Counseling Program (OP).

“We are committed to clinical excellence and following best practices in addiction treatment. We want those seeking faith-based treatment to be confident they are also receiving clinical care that meets CARF’s high standards,” says Troy Haas, CEO of HopeQuest, a 501(c)(3) organization.

HopeQuest offers a unique treatment experience for Christians seeking freedom from addiction. The campus provides a homelike environment with amenities such as a recreation area, walking trails, outdoor living spaces, and a recently renovated residence that includes a clinic, program space, and administrative offices.

With master’s-level licensed clinicians and specialized certifications including CSAT (Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist), EMDR, and CADC, HopeQuest exceeds industry minimum staffing qualifications. Its 12-week treatment program, compared to the industry-standard 30-day model, allows clinicians to address the root causes of addiction rather than simply managing symptoms.
