I’m starting this message with an incredible story. Last week, my heart was so full after experiencing something at HopeQuest we have never seen before. Let me explain.
While Jesus is a central part of our program, we never ask or pressure clients toward baptism. God has moved so powerfully in the past few weeks that six (yes, SIX!) men solidified their relationship with Him and chose to get baptized. It was a beautiful day, and their testimonies of what Jesus has done in their lives on the HopeQuest campus brought me to tears. This moment reminded me just how important the mission of HopeQuest is, and how vital your prayers are to this ministry. Thank you, and please continue praying for us. All praise and honor to Christ our Lord!
I am excited to share more incredible news that is truly game-changing for us and those we serve. In the coming weeks, look to hear more about our new High-Intensity Outpatient Program (HIOP), which will include safe and supportive residential housing when needed. I am thrilled about this expansion and invite you to pray with us as we prepare to launch this major program in April.
Now, on to my prayer for you and me. As the first quarter of 2025 comes to an end, I am reminded that a new year brings both a great gift and a great challenge. The gift is a fresh start — a clean slate, the hope of beginning again despite past failures. I love fresh starts and all the possibilities they bring. The challenge, however, is that real growth is seldom linear. Often, it comes with setbacks and struggles. When inevitable slip-ups happen, it’s easy to believe that all is lost and the year has somehow failed us. The temptation at that point is to give up, abandoning the hope that inspired us at the start.
My encouragement is that we must not let go of the hope we carried into this year! One of the best ways to avoid discouragement is to embrace a fresh start every day. Don’t wait for Monday, or a new month, or the next quarter. Today is the best day to begin again. Jeremiah reminds us that God’s mercies are new every morning. When we see each day as an opportunity to love and be loved, we are less overwhelmed by yesterday’s challenges.
— Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
I pray that we embrace each new day as a gift and find peace in the process, even when things don’t go as planned. May we rest in the truth that God’s grace is sufficient, and His love never fails.
For hope and freedom,
