The Trek 12 Steps used throughout the Trek Program:
- I admit that I am powerless over my human condition and that my life has become unmanageable. (I Can’t)
-
I believe that a power greater than I am can restore me to truth. (He Can)
-
I am turning my will and my life over to the care of God. (I’m going to let Him)
-
I am making a searching and courageous inventory of the sin and hurt and the strengths and abilities in my life and I am identifying the emotional impact of each.
-
I admit to God, to myself and to other safe people the exact nature of my wrong behavior, beliefs, and thoughts while also acknowledging my God-given strengths and talents.
-
I am entirely ready for God to remove my self-protective strategies of coping and sinful behaviors.
-
I humbly ask God to remove these self-reliant beliefs and behaviors.
-
I am making a list of all the persons I have harmed or who have harmed me, and I am willing to make amends with them all.
-
I am making direct amends to such people whenever possible, offering apology and forgiveness except when to do so would injure them or others.
-
I am continuing to take a personal inventory, and when I was wrong or have been wronged by others, I promptly admit it.
-
I am intentionally seeking God through prayer and scripture so that I may know His will for me and receive the power to carry it out.
-
Having been released from shame and the penalty of sin, and believing I am loved and accepted, I will carry this message of freedom to others and I will practice these principles throughout my life.
